ABOUT JETPULSE STUDIOS
A FATHER AND SON EMBARK ON AN ADVENTURE TO CREATE A ONE-OF-A-KIND SERIES OF AUTISM BOOKS FOR KIDS.
Do superheroes really exist?
If you ask superhero Dad and comic book illustrator Led Bradshaw, the answer would be a firm, “yes”.
From the time Led’s son Jake was 3 years old, all he ever wanted to do was help people. Jake would wear a cape everywhere he went, just in case someone was in need. Seeing the goodness in his son, Led embraced Jake’s love of superheroes and the two quickly created a bond.
AN AUTISM DAD'S JOURNEY
A FATHER LEARNS WHAT AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER IS AND TAKES THE FIRST STEP IN AN EPIC JOURNEY.
When Jake was in Pre-K, it became evident that he started displaying developmental challenges. His teachers noticed that he struggled a lot in class and started falling behind the other students. Jake’s love for superheroes started to become a distraction. Led searched desperately for ways to help pull his son into learning. Over time, Led relied on his knowledge of superheroes and embraced Jake’s special interests to pull him into learning. But Led didn't want to create a typical autism book. These comic book adventures needed to be stories that kids would enjoy reading over and over.
UNLEASHING THE INNER HERO
A SUPERHERO DAD ANSWERS THE QUESTION, "IS THERE A BETTER WAY TO TEACH A KID HOW TO READ?"
Founded in 2018, Jetpulse Studios creates comic book-style workbooks that offer reading comprehension mini-comics, beginner reading books, and full-length comic book adventures that feature a diverse superhero team led by a young autistic hero with incredible superpowers.
Jetpulse Studios is a father’s endeavor to make his son’s dream come true. Now the two work together creating stories and expanding the universe that Jake envisioned. Their comic books for kids between K to 2nd Grade challenge readers to see what autism spectrum disorder is to a young boy. Jake Jetpulse's journey has the potential to be one of the most popular books for kids.
A "DYNAMIC DUO" WRITING TEAM
SUPERHERO DAD AND SON SHARE THEIR LOVE OF COMICS TO CREATE A TEAM OF SUPERHEROES WITH AUTISM
From Good Morning America to The Today Show, and "Now This" Media., The Jake Jetpulse workbooks are praised by educators and used as a tool to help both students and teachers understand the challenges inherent with autism spectrum disorders.
The Adventures of Jake Jetpulse series is intended to act as a positive tool in raising awareness, understanding, and acceptance of people with autism. Together, Led and Jake hope to spark an interest in autism with this series and hope the books can be used as a tool for therapy.
